INDIVIDUAL NATURE THERAPY SESSIONS
INDIVIDUAL NATURE-BASED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY AND COUNSELLING
Our individual therapy sessions are designed to support children in achieving meaningful goals through engaging, child-led experiences in natural environments.
Every child is unique, and therapy is tailored to their strengths, interests, developmental needs, and family priorities. By using parks, bushland, playgrounds, and other outdoor spaces as our therapy environment, children have opportunities to learn and practise new skills in ways that feel enjoyable, motivating, and relevant to everyday life.
Sessions may support children with:
-
Emotional regulation and self-regulation
-
Social communication and relationship building
-
Confidence and positive self-identity
-
Gross and fine motor development
-
Coordination and body awareness
-
Executive functioning skills, incl. planning, organisation, & problem-solving
-
Attention and engagement
-
Independence in everyday activities
-
Managing transitions and routines
-
Sensory processing and sensory regulation
Therapy is flexible and responsive, with activities adapted to each child's goals and interests. Sessions may include nature exploration, imaginative play, movement challenges, sensory experiences, cooperative games, creative activities, and opportunities to practise everyday life skills within meaningful community settings.
Parents and caregivers are valued partners throughout the therapy journey. We work collaboratively to develop practical strategies that can be incorporated into daily routines, helping children build confidence and participate more fully at home, school, and in their community.
